What is Floriography?
Floriography is the name for the language of flowers, every flower carries a symbol or has its own special meaning.
When you need to send a message to someone flowers are a great way to show how much you care. They bring colour and smell but they have a symbolic meaning as well.
The language of flowers goes back thousands of years, from flower references in the Christian Bible to Chinese medicine and Japanese folklore.
Floriography grew popular in the Victorian era as a way of sending a secret message or code.
Not every message was about love and romance.
